Circle callout

Purpose
This sample demonstrates how to extend ArcObjects to build a custom text background. ArcMap includes several text backgrounds such as the following:
  • Balloon Callout
  • Line Callout
  • Marker Text Background
  • Simple Line Callout
The text background in this sample is a custom Circle Line Callout. It is similar to the Balloon Callout except, as its name suggests, it is a circle and its leader line is a straight line.

How to use

  1. Run the sample application. The application shows a circle line callout.

If you installed the samples feature, you will find the files associated with this sample in <Your Developer Kit install location>\DeveloperKit10.4\Java\Samples\ArcObjects.
