IDatasetAnalyze is an optional interface that updates database table and index statistics for the dataset. The IDatasetAnalyze interface is available on datasets in an ArcSDE geodatabase. Datasets in Personal or File geodatabases do not support this interface.
When applied to a feature dataset, Analyze updates the statistics for all of the tables.
The AllowableComponents property indicates which parts of the table or feature class can be analyzed. The returned value is based on the esriTableComponents enumeration. Members from this enumeration can be bitwise ord together.
DBMS statistics are important for efficient query performancethis is most relevant to ArcSDE geodatabases. You can determine whether your geodatabase supports DBMS statistics with IWorkspaceProperties.
