Interacting with and configuring maps, layers, and graphics

About interacting with and configuring maps, layers, and graphics

One of the most common tasks a geographic information system (GIS) developer has is to interact with and configure maps, layers, and graphics. For example, you might want to zoom to a specific extent on the map, create bookmarks, set the default drawing colors for your data, or convert your map's labels to geodatabase annotation. This section in the software development kit (SDK) covers some common entry points from which you can work with your maps, layers, and graphics.
