Working with animations in map

About working with animations in map

Animations allow you to visualize and analyze your geographic data in a dynamic fashion. In ArcMap, you can use the animation objects to create the following:
  • A map view animation track to visualize changes in the map view extent.
  • A layer animation track by altering layer properties, such as transparency and visibility.
  • A time animation track, which alters the time of the map display.
The map view, layer, and time animation tracks can be played individually or together to create dynamic visual effects.
Although the animation objects (Animation library) are available with ArcGIS Engine, map animations can only be created and played in the ArcGIS Desktop ArcMap application. Map animations are not supported in the ArcGIS Engine MapControl.
