Selecting a page size

The Adjustable Page Size tab allows you to automatically increase the size of the page layout if an element is close to the edge of the map. You can select one, more than one, or all page sizes to enable automatic page resizing.

1. Start ArcMap.
2. Open an existing map document or create a new map document and add data to it.
3. Switch to layout view.
4. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Production Cartography.
5. Click the Layout window button .

   The Layout window appears.

6. Click the Apply Layout Rules button.

   The Apply Layout Rules dialog box appears.

7. Click the Properties button .

   The Layout Rules dialog box appears.

8. If necessary, click the Adjustable Page Size tab.
9. Check an appropriate page size in the Page Sizes list.

   Nota:

   Check on more than one page size if you want the page layout to automatically increase when necessary.

10. Click Apply.

    The page layout resizes to accommodate the new page size.

11. Click OK.

    Nota:

    Click Select All or check multiple page sizes to enable the page layout to automatically resize. If any elements are close to the edge of the map, the page will automatically increase to the next available size.

    Nota:

    Click Clear All to remove page sizes and disable automatic page resizing.
