Representing geostatistical layers

Disponible con una licencia de Geostatistical Analyst.

ArcMap provides many tools to aid in the display of layers. With these tools, you can make attractive maps, and, more importantly, the tools allow you to explore and analyze the data in the layer in a variety of ways.

ArcMap displays the layer using system-defined defaults. However, these defaults can be adjusted. An overall color scheme can be selected from a set of predefined color schemes, or the color scheme can be changed interactively.

There are four ways a geostatistical layer can be represented:

  • Filled contours is the polygon representation of the geostatistical layer. It is assumed for the graphical display that the values between each contour line are the same for all locations within the polygon. You can choose to display the lines in either draft or presentation quality.
  • Contours is the contour or isoline representation of the geostatistical layer. You can choose to display the lines in either draft or presentation quality.
  • Grid is the raster representation of the geostatistical layer. It is assumed that the prediction is for the center of each cell (point interpolation) or averaging for each cell (block interpolation).
  • Hillshade creates a shaded relief representation of the geostatistical layer.
