Creating ePODS source diagrams

The Create ePODS Source Diagram tool helps automate the creation of source diagrams for ePODS products. It does this by inserting a new data frame, and by creating a new layer from the Ecrarea feature class, based on the extent of the selected Dqyarea features.

1. Inicie ArcMap.
2. Add the Dqyarea and Ecrarea feature classes to the active data frame if it is not already included.
3. Select one or more features from the Dqyarea feature class.
4. If necessary, add the Create ePODS Source Diagram command by doing the following:
   1. On the main menu, click Customize > Customize Mode.

      The Customize dialog box appears.

   2. Click the Commands tab.
   3. Choose Nautical Cartography in the Categories list.
   4. Drag the Create ePODS Source Diagram command to a toolbar.
   5. Click Close.
5. Click the Create ePODS Source Diagram button .

   A new source diagram data frame is inserted with the new layer Ecrarea_SD.
