More about nodes on link

  • Node on link schematic feature class
  • Nodes on link attributes

A node on link is a node positioned on a link path route. Its location on the schematic link is either absolute or relative. Nodes on link completely depend on the link they are related to. They can be selected and moved only along their reference link. Selecting and moving a link automatically selects and moves its nodes on link. The destruction of the link causes the automatic destruction of its nodes on link. Links that connect nodes on link are sublinks. Removing a node on link causes the destruction of its incident sublink.

Node on link schematic feature class

Configuring a node on link schematic feature class or a node schematic feature class is similar. Like for node schematic feature class, predefined attributes must be specified for a node on link schematic feature class.

Nodes on link attributes

Most of the predefined attribute names that can be configured for a node schematic feature class—for example, InitialRotation—can be configured for a node on link schematic feature class. But there are three specific predefined attributes available for nodes on link: AbsolutePosition, RelativePosition, and ReferenceLink.

Nota:

The ReferenceLink attribute that defines the schematic link identifier the node on link is related to is a mandatory one—this attribute is required for correctly displaying nodes on link.
