Changing the vertical symbology to a solid line

You can change the symbology of a vertical line representing a navaid or designated point in an instrument approach profile view to a solid line by using the Solid Vertical Line tool.

Solid vertical line

The default symbology of the vertical line is configured in the instrument approach profile view settings.

  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. On the main menu, click View > Layout View.
  3. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Aviation Terminal Procedure.
  4. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Aviation Profile Edit.
  5. Click the Edit Instrument Approach Profile button Edit Instrument Approach Profile on the Aviation Terminal Procedure toolbar.
  6. Select a vertical line.
  7. Click the Solid Vertical Line button Solid Vertical Line on the Aviation Profile Edit toolbar.

A solid line replaces the existing symbology.
