The Hide Selected Feature(s) tool gives you a way to hide cartographic or annotation features quickly. The tool changes the IsVisible field from Visible to Not Visible. It does not delete the features or annotation from the database; it simply hides the visibility of the features. Hiding features increases the readability of charts while only altering a field on the feature. It is controlled by the MapId, so features are hidden on a chart-by-chart basis. Definition queries can then filter out the features or annotation to be hidden based on this field.
This tool works with any feature class that has the IsVisible field.
