Setting margin distance

Use the Adjustable Page Size tab to set a margin in the page layout.

1. Start ArcMap.
2. Open an existing map document or create a new map document and add data to it.
3. Switch to layout view.
4. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Production Cartography.
5. Click the Layout window button on the Production Cartography toolbar.

   The Layout window appears.

6. Click the Apply Layout Rules button.

   The Apply Layout Rules dialog box appears.

7. Click the Properties button on the Layout window.

   The Layout Rules dialog box appears.

8. If necessary, click the Adjustable Page Size tab.
9. Type or choose a value in the Distance box.
10. Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the Distance value and choose a unit type.
11. Click Apply.
