Intersecting geometries

The Multi-Dimensional Intersect tool planarizes geometries so that they are split at all intersections. Polygon geometries are converted to polylines. If points are included in the selection, then the line is split at any point that is within the snapping tolerance.

1. Запустите ArcMap.
2. В главном меню щелкните Настроить, > Панели инструментов, > Production Editing.
3. On the menu bar, click Customize > Toolbars > Production Feature Builder.
4. Click the Feature Builder button on the Production Feature Builder toolbar.

   The Feature Builder window appears.

   Подсказка:

   The Feature Builder window can be placed anywhere in ArcMap, or in the Table Of Contents window, with the aid of the arrows showing the possible placement positions.

5. Verify that the feature builder scratch dataset is loaded in your map.
6. Щелкните кнопку Начать редактирование продукта , расположенную на панели инструментов Редактирование продукта.

   Примечание:

   Окна Управление объектами и Создать атрибуты, Обновить атрибуты или Атрибуты метаданных автоматически открываются когда вы открываете сеанс редактирования, используя инструмент Production Start Editing.

   Подсказка:

   Если окна Создать атрибуты, Обновить атрибуты или Атрибуты метаданных не открываются при начале сеанса редактирования, щелкните кнопку Показать/Скрыть атрибуты в окне Управление объектами.

7. Choose the feature builder scratch database as your editing workspace.
8. Нажмите ОК.
9. Select a feature builder geometry.

   The geometry should be a line or polygon.

10. Click the Multi-dimensional Intersect button on the Production Feature Builder toolbar.

    A series of line segments are created.
