В этом примере создается таблица sample_geometries с тремя столбцами: id, spatial type и geometry. В специальном типе varchar(18) содержится имя подкласса геометрии, хранимого в столбце geometry. В таблицу вставляются три объекта: линия, полигон и мультиточка.
Инструкция SELECT, запущенная для таблицы, возвращает выпуклую оболочку геометрии каждого подкласса.
