Определение
Функция ST_GeometryType берет объект геометрии и возвращает тип геометрии (точка, линия, полигон, мультиточка) в виде строки.
Синтаксис

sde.st_geometrytype (g1 sde.st_geometry)
SQLite
st_geometrytype (g1 geometryblob)
Тип возврата
Varchar(32) (Oracle и PostgreSQL) или text (SQLite), содержащий один из следующих вариантов:
- ST_Point
- ST_LineString
- ST_Polygon
- ST_MultiPoint
- ST_MultiLineString
- ST_MultiPolygon
Пример:
В таблице geometrytype_test содержится столбец геометрии g1.
Инструкция INSERT вставляет каждый подкласс геометрии в столбец g1.
Запрос SELECT возвращает тип геометрии каждого подкласса, хранимого в столбце g1.
