Creating polygons from polylines

To create new geometries from existing features, you may need to create polygons based on lines calculated by other functions. The Convert Polylines To Polygon tool allows you to do this using selected lines without deleting the original line features.

1. Запустите ArcMap.
2. В главном меню щелкните Настроить, > Панели инструментов, > Production Editing.
3. On the menu bar, click Customize > Toolbars > Production Feature Builder.
4. Click the Feature Builder button on the Production Feature Builder toolbar.

   The Feature Builder window appears.

   The Feature Builder window can be placed anywhere in ArcMap, or in the Table Of Contents window, with the aid of the arrows showing the possible placement positions.

5. Verify that the feature builder scratch dataset is loaded in your map.
6. Щелкните кнопку Начать редактирование продукта , расположенную на панели инструментов Редактирование продукта.

   Примечание:

   Окна Управление объектами и Создать атрибуты, Обновить атрибуты или Атрибуты метаданных автоматически открываются когда вы открываете сеанс редактирования, используя инструмент Production Start Editing.

   Подсказка:

   Если окна Создать атрибуты, Обновить атрибуты или Атрибуты метаданных не открываются при начале сеанса редактирования, щелкните кнопку Показать/Скрыть атрибуты в окне Управление объектами.

7. Choose the feature builder scratch database as your editing workspace.
8. Select the polylines to include in the polygon.

   Примечание:

   The selection cannot include points or other polygons. If it does, remove them from the selection by right-clicking them on the Manage Features window and clicking Unselect.

9. Click the Convert Polylines To Polygon button on the Production Feature Builder toolbar.

A new polygon is created using the selected line geometries in the scratch workspace.
