Activating a BIS geodatabase connection

The Manage Connections tool allows you to manage and activate connection to your Bathymetry Information system (BIS) file geodatabases and enterprise workspaces. The tool also allows you to assign local aliases to BIS geodatabase connections, rename local aliases, and remove BIS geodatabase connections from your BIS Local Alias list.

1. 启动 ArcMap。
2. Click Customize > Toolbars > Bathymetry on the main menu to activate the Bathymetry toolbar if necessary.
3. Click the Manage Connections button on the Bathymetry toolbar.

   The Manage Connections dialog box appears.

   

4. In the BIS Local Alias list, locate the BIS geodatabase you want to activate.
5. Check the Active check box associated with the BIS geodatabase.

   The BIS Local Alias name is displayed in bold text, indicating that the BIS geodatabase you selected has been activated.

6. 单击关闭。
