Using the product library AOI as a snapping guide

M_COVR features are generated from the geometry of the product library area of interest (AOI), so it is important to use them as a reference when editing NIS data. Features can then be snapped to the AOI edge to maintain topological coincidence between the product library AOI and the NIS data.

It is important to remember that if you have not removed the unnecessary vertices from the product library AOI, you should use the Production Trace button on the Production Editing toolbar to ensure topological coincidences between your NIS features and the product library AOI.

1. 启动 ArcMap。
2. 在主菜单上，单击自定义 > 工具条 > 生产编辑。
3. Open the Catalog window.
4. Browse to the product library of choice.
5. Open the Table Of Contents window.
6. Add the NIS or checkout replica data you want to edit to the Table Of Contents window.
7. Connect to and add the product library AOI to the MXD that you want to snap.
8. Click the Production Start Editing button on the Production Editing toolbar.

   This starts the edit session on the NIS data.

   提示：

   When you are editing NIS features that need to share an edge with the boundary of the product library AOI, snap those features at any point along the edge of the product library AOI.

9. Click the Save Edits button on the Production Editing toolbar to save changes.
