The Conversion toolset contains tools that convert data between formats used by ArcGIS Mapping and Charting solutions products. Specifically, this toolset contains functionality that moves and imports data for visualization and makes your maps accessible over the web.

Tools in the Conversion toolset

Tool	Description
Load Data	Moves features from one schema to another by loading data from a source to a target workspace. Data mapping rules described in a cross-reference database are applied during loading.
Publish Edits to WFS	Publishes modified features, including new and deleted features, back to a Web Feature Service (WFS).
VPF To Geodatabase	Imports VPF data in VMap, TOD or DNC formats into a geodatabase. Sources that can be imported include Digital Nautical Chart (DNC), Vector Map (VMap 0, VMap 1, and VMap 2), Urban Vector Map (UVMap), Foundation Feature Data (FFD), Vector Interim Terrain Data (VITD), and Tactical Ocean Data (TOD0, TOD2, and TOD4).
WFS To Geodatabase	Loads data from a Web Feature Service (WFS) to a file geodatabase that can then be used to create map products.
