How to zoom in ArcScene using the camera target

Available with 3D Analyst license.

Follow the steps below to quickly zoom into a particular 3D location inside ArcScene. Setting the camera's target position can help you simplify navigation by bringing the area of interest into the center of the view as you zoom towards it.

  1. Click the Zoom To Target Zoom to Target tool on the Tools toolbar.
  2. Click the location on the scene view that you would like to zoom to.
  3. The point you click becomes the center of your view as you zoom toward it.

Tip:
You can zoom to a new target when using the 3D Navigate tool Navigate by pressing CTRL and right-clicking.
