Zooming to a 3D bookmark

Available with 3D Analyst license.

Follow the steps below to select a previously saved bookmark from the Bookmarks menu and return to that same view extent:

  1. Click Bookmarks from the main menu.
  2. Existing bookmarks are listed in the pull-down Bookmarks menu for quick access.
  3. Click the name of the bookmark you want to use.
  4. The bookmarked view appears.
  5. To animate camera movements when zooming between bookmarks, click Customize > ArcGlobe Options. From the ArcGlobe Options dialog box, click the General tab and check Animate viewer when using tools and commands.
Tip:
  • To create or use a bookmark in a secondary viewer, right-click its title bar, point to Bookmarks, then click Create Bookmark or the name of the stored bookmark from the expanded menu to the right.
  • For more information on ArcGlobe display options, such as animating the viewer, see ArcGlobe display options.
