The Group Layers by Theme tool groups layers in the Table Of Contents window by DNC theme according to the value of the GROUPTHEME field specified in the DBS_FC_VVT table for the feature class associated with that layer. The tool organizes the layers by point, line, and polygon and places them in their respective DNC thematic group layer. This is useful for visualizing the layers by DNC theme as well as organizing the layers for quality-control purposes. Any existing group layers are ignored so any custom grouping will not be lost.
- Start ArcMap.
- If necessary, set up the DNC production environment.

Click the Group Layers By Theme button
on the Nautical DNC toolbar.
The layers in the Table Of Contents window are grouped by DNC theme.
