Creating or updating a schematic diagram

Prerequisite:

Schematic diagram creation and update operations require the ArcMap environment.

Since this help book is dedicated to schematic data organization within ArcCatalog, these points are not explained in this section.

Learn about generating a schematic diagram

Learn about updating schematic diagrams

Legacy:

Diagrams stored in pre-10 schematic datasets can be opened using this Schematics version, but they cannot be updated. No new schematic diagram can be generated in a pre-10 schematic dataset. Pre-10 schematic datasets must be migrated into a new schematic dataset before all Schematics functions work correctly.
