Setting the flow direction using a geoprocessing tool

Available with Standard or Advanced license.

  1. Start ArcMap by clicking Start > All Programs > ArcGIS > ArcMap 10.1.
  2. Click Geoprocessing > Search For Tools and type set flow direction in the search box.
  3. Click Search Tools. The Set Flow Direction geoprocessing tool is listed in the Search window.
  4. Click the name of the tool and the tool's dialog box opens.
  5. Specify the parameters in the tool's dialog box.
