How to change the font of 3D text graphics

Available with 3D Analyst license.

To edit the font of a 3D Text graphic, you must select the text element and open the Properties dialog box.

  1. Click the Select Graphics tool Select Graphics on the 3D Graphics toolbar in ArcGlobe or ArcScene.
  2. Click to select the graphic text element you want to change.
  3. Right-click the selected text and click Properties.
  4. You can also click the text properties button 3D Text Color after selecting the 3D text to invoke the Default Text Element Properties dialog box.
  5. Select a new font from the drop-down list.
  6. The selected 3D text graphic is changed to the font you chose.

Tip:
  • Clicking the drop-down arrow of the Text Properties/Color button will only expose color change options.
  • If the Select Graphics tool is disabled, then there are no graphic elements in the active graphics layer.
