Disabling textures for a multipatch layer

Available with 3D Analyst license.

Textures are the images displayed on the exterior shell of a multipatch feature. You can choose to see just the geometry of multipatches inside ArcGlobe by disabling the display of the textures.

Follow the steps below to disable textures for a multipatch layer.

  1. Right-click the multipatch layer in the table of contents and click Properties.
  2. Click the Globe Display tab.
  3. Check the Disable material textures option.
  4. Click OK.

Depending on the layer, it may take ArcGlobe a moment to update the display.

Tip:
In ArcGlobe, Draft mode can temporarily disable textures for all multipatch layers in a 3D view. This can be useful for improved navigation speed without editing the properties of many layers.
