Creating a new graphics layer

Available with 3D Analyst license.

A good workflow to practice if you use graphics, is to create a new graphics layer to manage the elements. You can save graphics layers as a layer file and use it like other feature layers, for example toggling its visibility.

1. Click Graphics on the 3D Graphics toolbar.
2. Click New Graphics Layer

A new graphics layer is created in the table of contents.

Tip:

• After adding the new graphics layer, you will want to set it as the target for new graphics you add to the display, see Setting the target layer of new graphics for details.
