How to stop navigation at the globe surface

1. Click the Tools menu and click Options.
2. Click the 3D Data View tab.
3. Check Stop navigation at globe surface.
4. Click OK.

   The stop navigation setting keeps the application from zooming in past the surface to the center of the globe.

Tip:

The surface is at zero elevation. You will be able to zoom into 3D terrain that has an elevation greater than zero.
