Starting ArcReader from the command line

  1. Click the Start menu and click Run.
  2. Type "<cmd>".
  3. The DOS prompt opens.

  4. Type "<install_dir\arcreader.exe>". For example, <C:\program files\ArcGIS\Desktop\bin\arcreader.exe>.
  5. The command line opens.

    For a list of the parameters you can use at the command line, see the table above (under the section About starting ArcReader).

Tip:
Use quotes if the path to ArcReader.exe contains spaces. For example:

"C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\bin\ArcReader.exe" /loadsettings template.art
