Deleting annotation abbreviation settings

As annotation abbreviation settings are deprecated, you can delete them from the Abbreviate Annotation Settings dialog box. When the settings are deleted, they are removed from the dialog box, and the abbreviation options are no longer available. You may also need to adjust your calculated field rules or label expressions to account for the removal of the settings.

  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. On the main menu, click Customize > Production > Production Properties.

The Production Properties dialog box appears.

  3. Ensure that the correct product library and production database are set.
  4. Click Aviation Properties in the list on the left side of the Production Properties dialog box.
  5. Click the cell next to Abbreviate Annotation Settings and click the ellipsis (...) that appears.

The Abbreviate Annotation Settings dialog box appears.
