Distance constraints for territories
Setting distance values is an important feature to constrain your territories. A distance value is a threshold you can set to ensure that a territory doesn't exceed variable limits.
You set your distance constraints within the Setup Level Parameters... wizard.
- Select the preferred distance unit from the Distance units drop-down menu.
- Select distance parameters from the three options available.
The following options are available which allow you to constrain the size of your territories:
- Maximum distance from territory center – the maximum distance a territory boundary can grow from its center. Features which are outside the specified distance are not assigned to the territory.
- Minimum distance from territory center – the minimum distance a territory can be from the center of a nearby territory. Features closer, than the specified distance, to the center of a neighboring territory are not assigned to the target territory.
- Minimum distance between territory centers – this distance constraint is used to set the minimum distance between territory centers.
