Territory Design contains several options and settings to control the size, shape, and statistical output of territories. Setting these parameters can be applied during the building of a Territory Solution or by modifying the solution after it is built. For example, you can create territories by setting an attribute capacity constraint of 100,000 households and a distance threshold of 50 miles or kilometers. However, you can then apply new parameters such as adding an overall extent to a state or province boundary and applying balancing options to equally distribute statistical attributes across all territories.
The following commands are available for setting parameters:
- Assign territory centers
- Balance territories
- Manage barriers and restricted areas
- Manage territory indexes
- Reassign territories
- Setup attribute capacity and distance constraints
- Setup distance measurement
- Set territory extent
