Publishing projects to an online repository
Business Analyst saves your work such as trade areas, stores, analysis, etc. in projects. Business Analyst projects contain a standardized structure and allow you to conveniently share your work throughout your ArcGIS organization and within Business Analyst apps. Wholly contained projects or selected components within projects, such as trade area layers, can be published from your desktop and saved to your organization within ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise portal. ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App, for example, can access these shared project layers for mapping and analysis. projects you publish are stored in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise portal as standard feature layers.
- To publish your project right click and select Publish project.... This can be done in either the Project Explorer or through Catalog.
- The following dialog will appear. Select the layers you want to share in the project and provide a project name.
- Click OK. A Share result prompt appears letting you know that you have shared your project successfully.
After the project has been published successfully into your organization, you can grant users access to the project sharing the group that has been created. Learn more about published projects in ArcGIS Online My Content here.
