Creating an interoperability connection

Available with Data Interoperability license.

  1. Open the Catalog window.
  2. Expand the Interoperability Connections folder in the Catalog tree.
  3. Double-click Add Interoperability Connection.

    The Interoperability Connection dialog box opens.

  4. Click the Format browse button, choose a format from the FME Reader Gallery dialog box, then click OK.
  5. Click the Dataset browse button, navigate to the file, and click Open.
  6. Click the Parameters button to edit the default FME reader parameters.

    Parameters can include optional and required settings and vary among formats.

  7. Click the Coordinate System browse button to define a spatial reference.

    This is optional.

  8. Click OK to create the connection.
