Selecting and zooming to Reviewer geometry

Available with Data Reviewer license.

There are several ways to select and view individual records in the Reviewer table. When you select and zoom to the geometry, the map scale is changed based on the feature zoom properties configured for the Reviewer table, and the geometry is selected and shown in the middle of the extent.

The Reviewer geometry may be the same as the feature geometry, or it may be a graphic that represents the extent or area that contains the check result.

Note:

The select and zoom functionality cannot be used with all records. For example, records found using the Invalid Geometry check cannot be located based on geometry.

  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Data Reviewer.
  3. Start a Reviewer session in one of the following:
    • A file, personal, or SQL Server Express geodatabase
    • An enterprise geodatabase
    • An existing Reviewer workspace
  4. Click the Reviewer Table button Reviewer Table on the Data Reviewer toolbar.
  5. Click the Symbolize Reviewer Feature Records button Symbolize Reviewer Feature Records in the Reviewer Table window to display the result geometries in the map.
  6. Right-click a record in the Reviewer table and click Select and Zoom To Reviewer Geometry.

    Tip:

The Select and Zoom To Reviewer Geometry context menu item is disabled upon any of the following:

    • There is more than one Reviewer result selected in the Reviewer table.
    • The map does not contain the Reviewer Dataset layer group.
    • The selection contains a row or feature record that does not contain a geometry.

The feature geometry is selected and the map display changes so the Reviewer geometry is visible.

Tip:
  • If a working scale has been defined on the Reviewer Table Properties dialog box, the map scale will not change when you select and zoom to the Reviewer geometry.
  • When the Reviewer geometry is a subset of a feature or features, a graphic is generated to represent only that subset.
