Accessing element metadata in the database

Available with Production Mapping license.

You can view element metadata in an ELM_ELEMENTS table.

  1. Open ArcMap.
  2. Add the ELM_ELEMENTS table to the ArcMap table of contents:
    1. Click the Add Data button Add Data on the Standard toolbar.

      The Add Data dialog box appears.

    2. Browse to the location of the database element database.
    3. Select the ELM_ELEMENTS table.
    4. Click Add.

      The ELM_ELEMENTS table is added to the ArcMap table of contents.

  3. Right-click the table in the table of contents and select Open.

  4. Scroll to the metadata fields to view the attributes.
  5. Close the table when you are finished viewing the metadata.
