Data source definition

Available with Production Mapping license.

Defining a data source provides the ability to use data sources from the currently active data frame to populate a table of any format. A data source can be defined from two locations within the graphic table element:

  • The wizard from the New Table dialog box
  • The Data Source tab on the Table Properties dialog box

The wizard from the New Table dialog box allows you to initially define a basic data source for your table. The data source can be further customized or additional data sources added using the Data Source tab on the Table Properties dialog box.

Data Source tab

You can do the following on the Data Source tab:

  • Add and manage data sources.
  • Filter the data source.
  • Employ field mapping.
  • Work with data items.

The Synchronize table button and Always keep table dynamically synchronized with data frame check box are also both available on the Data Source tab.
