Deleting an element from the Layout window

Available with Production Mapping license.

You can use the Layout window to delete an element from the page layout.

  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. Load data in the map if necessary.
  3. Switch to layout view.
  4. If necessary, click the Layout window button Layout window on the Production Cartography toolbar to display the Layout window.
  5. Select one or more elements in the Layout window.
  6. Right-click inside the Layout window and click Delete.

The element is removed from the page layout and the Layout window.

    Note:

Deleting an element only removes it from the page layout, not from an element database.
