Deleting specification rules across specifications

Available with Production Mapping license.

Rules that are no longer being used with particular specifications can be deleted from the visual specifications table. This can also occur if the symbology requirements for a specification change.

  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. Click the Visual Specifications button Visual Specifications on the Production Symbology toolbar.

  3. Click Advanced.

    The Visual Specifications Advanced View dialog box appears, displaying rules saved in the selected specifications.

  4. Select rules to delete in the rules table.
  5. Right-click in the rules table and click Delete.

    The rules are removed from the rules table.

  6. Click OK.
