Deleting specification rules for calculated representations

Available with Production Mapping license.

When rules are no longer being used with particular specifications, they can be deleted. This can happen if specifications were renamed or added due to changes in the data model or changes in a style.

For calculated representation rules, the rule is removed from the representation rule set.

  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. Load a map document that contains visual specifications.
  3. Choose the layer that contains the specification rules you want to delete.
  4. Right-click the layer and click Properties.

The Layer Properties dialog box appears.

  5. Click the Calculated Representations tab.

    Calculated Representations tab

  6. Choose the rules you want to delete in the rules list.
  7. Right-click the selection and click Delete Rule(s).

    Tip:

You can also right-click in the table to delete rules.

  8. Click OK.
