Toggling column visibility

Available with Production Mapping license.

Instead of rearranging the columns in the rules table to show only the fields that you feel are relevant to the rules, you can turn off the visibility. For example, you may not necessarily want to see the Rule GUID field, so you might remove it from the table altogether.

  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. Click the Visual Specifications button Visual Specifications on the Production Symbology toolbar.

The Visual Specifications dialog box appears.

  3. Click Advanced.

The Visual Specifications Advanced View dialog box appears, displaying rules saved in the selected specifications.

  4. Click Options > Column Order.

The Column Order dialog box appears.

  5. Uncheck the check box next to the columns you do not want displayed in the rules table.
  6. Check the check boxes next to the columns you want displayed in the rules table.
  7. Repeat steps 5–6 as needed.
  8. Click OK when you are finished.
