Deleting an LRS

You can delete a linear referencing system (LRS) by right-clicking it in ArcCatalog and clicking Delete.

You cannot delete an LRS that has LRS Networks associated with it. You must first delete all the networks.

  1. Start ArcMap and open the Catalog window.

    Tip:

You can also do this in ArcCatalog.

  2. Browse to the folder location of the geodatabase with the LRS you want to delete.
  3. Expand the LRS to see if it contains LRS Networks.
    1. If LRS Networks exist, right-click each one and click Delete.

This operation will remove the registered LRS Network node within the LRS and the corresponding <Network Name> feature class from the geodatabase.

  4. Right-click the LRS and click Delete.
