Renaming a schematic dataset

  1. Start ArcCatalog.
  2. Click the schematic dataset you want to rename in the Catalog tree.
    • Click File and click Rename.
    • Alternatively, right-click the desired schematic dataset and click Rename.
  3. Type the new name.

    Caution:

    Schematics enforces the uniqueness of the schematic dataset name regarding

    • Any existing dataset in the geodatabase, not just those regarding other schematic datasets that may share the same geodatabase
    • The names of all the schematic folders it contains
    • The names of all the schematic diagrams stored in it

  4. Press ENTER.
