Viewing a task assistant workflow in ArcCatalog

Task assistant workflows can be viewed in ArcCatalog. Step descriptions are displayed as ToolTips on the Preview tab.

Viewing task assistant workflows allows you to view information about a workflow without opening it in the Task Assistant window. For example, you can view the hierarchy of the steps and quickly hover over them to ensure they have descriptions.

  1. Start ArcCatalog.
  2. Navigate to a task assistant workflow file.
  3. Click the Preview tab.

    By default, the Preview drop-down menu is set to Workflow. The task assistant workflow is displayed.

  4. Hover the mouse pointer over a step.

    The step description shows as a ToolTip.
