You can save ArcGIS Defense Mapping configuration settings in the Property Configuration dialog box to a configuration file. The configuration file can then be used when you want to set up settings for another map document. Configuration files are stored at the following location:
- On Windows XP—<Installation location>\Documents and Settings\<user login>\Application Data\ESRI\Production\Desktop<version>\Settings.
- On Windows 7, Vista, and Windows Server 2008—<Installation location>\Users\<user login>\AppData\Roaming\ESRI\Production<version>\Desktop\Settings.
- Start ArcMap.
- On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Defense Mapping.
- On the Defense Mapping toolbar, click Defense Mapping > Options.
The Property Configuration dialog box appears.
- Click the Configuration File drop-down arrow and type the name of the new configuration file.
- Click the Configuration Alias text box and type an alias for the configuration file.
This alias appears on the Defense Mapping toolbar, not the configuration file name.
- Click the appropriate tab for which you want to modify the settings.
- Edit the appropriate settings.
- Repeat steps 6 and 7 as necessary.
- Click Create File.
- Click OK.
