Access the history log by clicking the History tab on the Task Assistant window. The history log displays all the steps that have been executed as well as the user name, date, and time. By default, the history log is not stored, but it can be saved to a text file.
You may want to add notes to the history log to provide background information for instances where a workflow step failed to execute or add a comment for specific input parameters.
- Start ArcMap.
- If necessary, click the Task Assistant button on the Task Manager toolbar to display the Task Assistant window.
- Open a task assistant workflow.
- Click the History tab on the Task Assistant window.
- Click an entry in the history log.
- Right-click and click Edit Notes.
The Edit Notes dialog box appears.
- Type any notes you want to include with the history log for that entry in the text box.
- Click OK.
