Using the Add CAD Fields tool

The Add CAD Fields tool adds reserved CAD fields to an existing table or feature class in predefined sets for both V8 DGN and DWG formats. After running the tool, the appropriate values can be entered individually or populated with Field Calculator.

The following steps describe how to use the tool:

  1. Open the Add CAD Fields tool dialog box.
  2. Drag a feature class from the table of contents or the Catalog window into the Input Table text box.
  3. Uncheck any categories you do not want to add to the table.
  4. Click OK to run the tool.
