Using the Import CAD Annotation tool

You can use the Import CAD Annotation tool to import CAD annotation to a geodatabase annotation feature class.

The following steps describe how to use the tool, accepting the default values:

  1. Open the Import CAD Annotation tool dialog box.
  2. Drag one or more CAD datasets from the Catalog window into the Input Features text box, or click the browse button Browse and navigate to the CAD source data, then click Add.
  3. Click the browse button Browse and navigate to an existing geodatabase.
  4. Type a name in the Output Feature Class text box and click Save.
  5. Accept the default value in the Reference scale text box.
  6. Click OK to run the tool.
