Creating a hatch style in the Style Manager

  1. From ArcMap, click Customize > Style Manager.
  2. In the Style Manager, expand the first folder in the style tree to open your personal style. Click the Hatches folder to open it.
  3. With the Hatches folder open, right-click the open space in the right panel of the Style Manager dialog box, point to New, and click Hatch.
  4. Set the style’s properties on the Hatch Style Properties dialog box and click OK.
  5. Name the new hatch style.
  6. Click Close to close the Style Manager dialog box.
