About saving, exporting, and loading animations

An animation created in ArcMap, ArcScene, or ArcGlobe can be persisted in two ways:

  • By saving the ArcMap, ArcScene, or ArcGlobe document (.mxd, .sxd, or .3dd) in which the animation was created.
  • By saving the animation to an independent .ama, .asa, or .aga file.

Furthermore, the animation can be exported to the following formats:

  • As a video file: Audio Video Interleaved (.avi)
  • As a set of sequential images: Windows Bitmap (.bmp) and JPEG (.jpg).
