Exporting a graph to a native format

Exporting to the native format without the data is useful if you want to perform further customizations on a graph in the TeeChart Office application. Visit the following location in your Web browser, http://www.steema.com/products/teechart/office/overview.html, to get more information on the TeeChart Office application.

  1. Right-click in the graph window and click Export.
  2. Click the Native tab.
    Export dialog Native tab
  3. Uncheck the Include Series data check box if you want to have only the graph definitions written to the output file, without the data.
  4. Use the Format drop-down list to choose between binary and text format.
  5. Click the Save button.
  6. Navigate to the location you want to save to, type a filename, then click Save.

The native data format of the graph is contained in a *.tee file, which can be either binary or text. The binary files are smaller, but the text files are humanreadable.

  7. Click Close.
Tip:

You can also export the graph with Graph Manager. Right-click on the graph, choose Export from the list, then follow steps 2–7 above.
